Senior Interior Designer

Responsibilities

  1. Designing
    • Propose design ideas that incorporate functionality, aesthetic, practical, on-brand and make presentations to clients
    • Preparing and designing sales kits with company profile/portfolio to improve company brand positioning and increasing sales team’s conversion rate
    • Working closely with marketing team to deliver marketing plans, activities and campaigns that can help to generate more leads to sales team
    • Preparing and designing sales kits with company profile/portfolio to improve company brand positioning and increasing sales team’s conversion rate
    • Participating in all new projects/initiatives such as YOU DIY, an e-commerce platform for design-inspired furnitures and decorative items
  2. Project Costing
    • Prepare project costing and ensure the project is profitable
    • Sourcing for more reliable, quality and cost effective contractors/suppliers
    • Strengthen team capabilities and options
  3. Project Management
    • Plan, arrange, coordinate and supervise site progress
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet customer satisfaction
  4. Client Servicing
    • Handle & serve clients with sales team including reporting occasionally on conditions and progress of works
    • Support sales and business development team in new design business if any.
  5. Leader Role
    • Undertake design project from conception to completion with design teams
    • Lead projects team, train and orientate new interior designers when necessary
    • Planning manpower and coordinating with sales teams to optimize project execution capabilities.
    • Provide solutions when team members/subordinates are facing unforeseen problems in both design and site issues.
    • Cultivating good relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors to ensure effectiveness of the project assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
  • Diploma in Interior Design or similar
  • Candidate must possess at least 5 year(s) of working experience
  • Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, furniture and all installations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge on SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
  • Excellent portfolio of previous works
  • Detailed and thorough thinker
  • Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
  • Good in communication and presentation skills
  • Good problem solving skill
  • Good in project management
  • Have strong people management and leadership skills in order to hire, develop, and inspire the creative team.

 

Monday – Friday 9am to 6pm, Weekend – Appointment basis

Salary: RM3.5k-6k monthly

Interior Designer Intern

Responsibilities

  • Design interior spaces from concept to completion including permanent fitting details to soft-furnishing elements
  • Produces sketches, drawings, and floor plans to illustrate concepts and finished projects using computer-aided design programs (CAD) and hand-drawing skills
  • Creates idea boards/ mood boards to communicate design concepts to clients
  • Assist in creating project budgets, including materials and labour
  • Assist to establishes project timelines and coordinates work activity, vendor involvement, and outside contractors as necessary
  • Assist to set costs and project fees according to budget
  • Assist to supervise work progress
  • Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practises
  • Report to interior designer

 

Requirements
